The Champagne Run dressage season will run from January 1st to November 30th 2020. Scores received during this period may be used to qualify for dressage awards. The season finals and award ceremony will be held the last weekend of January 2021.

RIDER AWARDS
Champagne Run will recognize achievements in dressage through rider awards. Awards
are performance rewarding to encourage riders to strive for consistent improvement in the
discipline of dressage.

GENERAL RULES
Riders may earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards at the Introductory, Training, First, and Second Levels. All scores must be earned during the 2020 season to qualify for a medal. Dressage scores obtained in the mini trials must be ridden the percentage class. Scores will not be carried over into the next season. Riders may only receive one medal at each level during the 2020 season. Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals do not need to be earned sequentially. Medals may be earned on any horse.

TEST SUBMISSION
Riders are responsible for submitting qualifying scores to the Show Secretary within ten
days of the ride. No more than two tests per show date may be used to qualify. Tests may be
submitted via email to Nancy Clinkinbeard (nanclink56@gmail.com).

INTRODUCTORY LEVEL AWARDS
Qualifying scores must be from no less than two different tests listed below. Tests must be
from at least three different show dates. Any combination of tests therein is permitted.
Permitted Tests:
• USDF Introductory Test A, B and C (Small Ring)
• USEA Beginner Novice Test A and B (Small Ring)
•WDAA Introductory Test 4 and Basic Test 1 (Small Ring)

Bronze Medal Requirements
Riders must provide six tests with a minimum score of 60%.
Silver Medal Requirements
Riders must provide five tests with a minimum score of 68%.
Gold Medal Requirements
Riders must provide four tests with a minimum score of 73%.

TRAINING LEVEL AWARDS
Permitted Tests:
• USDF Training Level Test 1, 2 and 3 (Small Ring)
• USEA Novice Test B will be accepted as equivalent to USDF Training Level Test 1

Bronze Medal Requirements
Riders must provide six tests with a minimum score of 60%
• Two at USDF Training Level Test 1 (may substitute USEA Novice Test B)
• Two at USDF Training Level Test 2
• Two at USDF Training Level Test 3

Silver Medal Requirements
Riders must provide five tests with a minimum score of 68%.
• Two at USDF Training Level Test 1 (may substitute USEA Novice Test B)
• Two at USDF Training Level Test 2
• Two at USDF Training Level Test 3

Gold Medal Requirements
Riders must provide four tests with a minimum score of 73%.
• Two at USDF Training Level Test 1 (may substitute USEA Novice Test B)
• Two at USDF Training Level Test 2
• Two at USDF Training Level Test 3

• USEA Training Test B and Preliminary Test B will be accepted as equivalent to USDF

• USEA Intermediate Test B will be accepted as equivalent to USDF Second Level Test 1

Riders must provide six tests with a minimum score of 60%
• Two at USDF Second Level Test 1 (may substitute USEA Intermediate Test B)
• Two at USDF Second Level Test 2
• Two at USDF Second Level Test 3

Silver Medal Requirements
Riders must provide five tests with a minimum score of 68%.
• Two at USDF Second Level Test 1 (may substitute USEA Intermediate Test B)
• Two at USDF Second Level Test 2
• Two at USDF Second Level Test 3

Gold Medal Requirements
Riders must provide four tests with a minimum score of 73%.
• Two at USDF Second Level Test 1 (may substitute USEA Intermediate Test B)

CHAMPAGNE RUN DRESSAGE FINALS

Champagne Run Dressage Finals and Award Ceremony will be held during the last
weekend of January 2021. Medals earned during the 2020 season and Finals Awards will
be presented to deserving riders.

DRESSAGE FINALS QUALIFICATIONS
Riders participating in the Dressage Finals must be eligible to receive a Dressage
Medal from the 2020 season. Riders eligible for multiple medals must compete at
the highest level at which they have achieved a medal. Scores received at Dressage
Finals may be applied towards medals for the 2021 season.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
All tests will be standard arena USDF tests.
Medals will be awarded at the conclusion of Finals for each level.
Finals Awards will be given to the top ten competitors based solely on scores
received at Dressage Finals.
